VuMan is a Mac OS X graphical user interface to the main system of Unix software documentation, the man page. VuMan provides a friendly interface to the Unix man page system. It links together a number of Unix command-line tools to make searching, reading, and printing man page documentation a simple task. VuMan is written with the TclTkAqua toolkit.

What's new in this version:

- A new engine to convert man pages to a user-friendly display. VuMan has switched from two Perl scripts that provided sometimes-buggy output to rman (http://polyglotman.sourceforge.net), a rock-solid program that converts man pages to a large number of formats. rman is now included with the VuMan application bundle, eliminating the need for a separate package installer.
- A completely rewritten interface based on text formatting, rather than HTML formatting, which gives you more flexibility in controlling how the text is displayed. We have also worked to make the interface more attractive and easier to understand.
- You can now jump to a new man page by selecting a term in the text display.
- You can now make use of an improved tool for searching man pages by keyword, which is now incorporated into the main program interface. Man pages for a selected term can now be loaded directly from the search window.
- You can now search text within a specific man page.
- You can now choose the font and point size for the main display.
