Snard is a menu bar and dock based Launcher. Snard reduces dock and screen clutter by replacing numerous items with a convenient system menu, dock menu or hot key activated menu.

Snard's feature list includes:

- Easily Open Applications as the super user ( root )
o Option-Select an Application in the Snard menu
o Use the "Open App as Root..." Menu Item

- Perform a search locally or internet wide using Sherlock
- Use Worksets to specify a list of files to open with one click of the mouse
- Easily access all your System Preferences
- Organize items into Groups for easy access
- Place your favorite folders in Snard for quick access
- Quickly access recent items
- Quickly access Favorite and Recently accessed servers
