Improvements:

- when a compare fails, e.g. because of specifying an non-existing tag, a message will be displayed

Fixed Bugs:

- when log messages are extremely long (>65.535 characters), they could not be stored in the meta cache; now they are truncated
- Log: internal error when a branch and revision was selected
- Compare and Annotate were enabled for invalid/unsupported CVS/Root contents
