Screen Shrink was developed as a utility for PDA, mobile phone, and iPhone developers to see how their applications will look on displays of various sizes and resolutions. One to three Display Windows can be selected, each with its own size and resolution (72 to 300 dots per inch). Display size is adjusted to compensate for the resolution. A Background Window is provided to cover desktop clutter. You can select the color of the Background Window (black, gray or white) and the refresh rate of the Display Windows. Two modes are provided; Normal, which displays the view around the cursor and Locked, which stares at a point on the screen and frees up the mouse. The Control Panel has two sliders to set the magnification (less than 10% to 100%), turn crosshairs on/off, and hide/show the Display and Background Windows. All settings are saved between sessions. Screen Shrink is shareware ($15).
