PreFab UI Browser is the ultimate assistant for GUI Scripting
Apple's GUI Scripting is a great feature of Mac OS X, opening up whole new worlds for script writers -- much as PreFab Player did for Mac OS 7 through 9. But, there's a catch: it's very difficult to figure out how to specify the element you want to control.
UI Browser solves this problem, helping you explore, manipulate and monitor the user interface of most Mac OS X applications. It lets you navigate the user interface hierarchy then generate useful AppleScript statements with a single click.
WHAT'S NEW
Version 2.0.1:
- If you already downloaded version 2.0, either replace that with 2.0.1 or note the following registration issue: When entering registration information in the UI Browser 2.0 "Enter Key Manually" dialog, the OK button might remain dimmed. If this happens to you, click on the Finder desktop then click back in the dialog, and the OK button should become enabled. If it doesn't, make sure that you entered your registration information exactly as given to you, either via copy/paste or by verifying spelling and capitalization (and note that every 0 is a zero and every 1 is a more...one). UI Browser 2.0.1 fixes this issue
