necflashX is a simple GUI for the necflash (binflash) utility. Changing and clearing of booktype coud not not be tested with my NEC DVD_RW ND-3520A FW 1.04 (only query is ok). The necflash command line utility allows you to flash and dump your DVD burner firmware and let you query or set the booktype of your drive. You can change the booktype settings for DVD+R, DVD+R-DL and DVD+RW to different settings. Follow the link and free download necflashX now.
