Namely lets you get to all your applications quickly by typing part of their name. It will show you a list of matches and you keep typing to narrow them down. Actually, two or three letters are enough most of the time. When you've found what you're looking for, hit Return to launch it.
What's new in this version:
- Added French localisation (thanks to Mathieu Latrubesse).
- Managing the list of excluded locations now works on Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger.
- Hiding Namely now clears the text field for the next use.
- Typing now scrolls the list back to the top if you have scrolled down previously.
- Applications in the trash are now excluded.
- Applications no longer show the .app extension in path tooltips.
- If an application cannot be launched (e.g. if it can no longer be found) a message is shown and the list is reloaded.
- The list of excluded paths is no longer editable, as it was never supposed to be.
- Slightly increased the delay after which the list reloads itself when no match is found for what you typed. Follow the link and
