M1 is an Arcade music player for Mac OS X. M1 plays the music from arcade games by running the code in the original ROMs (not supplied). The current release supports seven hundred different games. M1 emulates nine different CPUs to play music and sounds from games running on over eighty different arcade boards.

What's new in this version:

Aside from being up to date with the latest PC core, the Mac-specific code has seen a total rewrite. This is most visible in the new interface, which is pretty similar to Audio Overload. However, the source code is also much cleaner now and very easy to maintain, meaning that it will be released as open source as soon as R. Belmont decides to take that road with the core .
