About DICTatoro
The DICT protocol (see www.dict.org) is used by many DICT client programs, little pieces of software that allow the user to look up words. These programs however only work if the user has Internet access, if they can reach a DICT server.

DICTatoro is a free DICT server/client package. Simply install it and you can look up words while offline, because the DICTatoro distribution contains both a DICT server (JDictd) and a DICT client (OmniDictionary), correctly configured and ready to use.
