Dash Monitors is a Widget that runs under Mac OS X Tiger's new Dashboard functionality. Dash Monitors displays a graphic summary of your system resource usage. It shows what percentage of CPU time is being used, the amount of memory in use, the speed at which the machine is transferring or receiving data over the network, and the speed the machine is reading and writing to local disk volumes. Currently, Dash Monitors is the only system resource monitor that runs in the Dashboard, and is great for users who would like to run a system monitor but do not want to sacrifice any screen real-estate while working.

Dash Monitors preview release 1.1 is a fully functional preview version that will expire on June 1, 2005. Dash Monitors is provided without any type of warranty. Use Dash Monitors at your own risk. That said, much of the code in Dash Monitors is the same as in XRG, so it has been tested pretty extensively.

Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger is required. If you're using Safari, click the download link. When the widget download is complete, show Dashboard, click the Plus sign to display the Widget Bar and click the widget's icon in the Widget Bar to open it. If you're using a browser other than Safari, click the download link. When the widget download is complete, unarchive it and place it in /Library/Widgets/ in your home folder. show Dashboard, click the Plus sign to display the Widget Bar and click the widget's icon in the Widget Bar to open it.
