About Calendar X
Calendar X goes way beyond other calendars. Calendar X is the successor to WunderMoosen s popular Calendar2000 product but it is a completely new product in it s own right written in Cocoa, Objective-C and C. If you are looking for a simple light weight calendar that can just show you the days and months on the standard Gregorian Calendar...THIS IS NOT IT!!!

Calendar X is a heavy duty perpetual calendar that offers views across many Calendar disciplines. It computes astronomical events (moon phases, solstice, equinox, moon rise and set, sun rise & set) and displays the information according to the selected calendar system. It supports Julian, Gregorian (in many reforms), Jewish, Islamic, Bah ", Indian Civil, Mayan, Coptic and Ethiopic. Additionally it will also give date information in Julian, Gregorian, Jewish, Islamic, Bah ", Indian Civil, Mayan, Coptic, Ethiopic, French Revolution, Roman, ISO and Julian Day Number.

Calendar X is useful as a general Calendar but it is really a must have tool for educational use. It gives historians and other researchers a set of powerful tools to continue their research. Anyone who is interested in other cultures and how those cultures mark time will find Calendar X an important aid.

Calendar X has an ability to calculate moving events across all supported calendar systems that is just quite mind boggling. It can generate HTML Calendars with specific information that you may select by category. Need to produce a special religious or secular calendar...it s in there. Need to generate a calendar to cross map two different calendar systems...it s in there. If you want to calculate the first Sunday after the first full moon after the spring equinox...it s in there (this was just a simple example). Calendar X even contains a very powerful daily diary and planner.

Calendar X is a free update to current WunderMoosen Calendar2000 customers.

Whats New in this Version
- Fixed a recently introduced problem with the solstice/equinox calculations. A recent optimization actually broke it.
- The toolbar year spinner control was stopping at 9999 when it should have stopped at 99999.
- Fixed a display bug in Gregorian Calendar for February 29, 2000. This was not an incorrect calculation just a display problem with a single day.
- Fixed a display bug in Julian calendar for weekdays in the year 1000 and earlier.
- Fixed a midnight-roll over bug (daylight savings correction not being applied for rollover).
- Fixed an end of daylight savings computation value. Coming up 1 month later than it should)
- Added preferences value in Markings for "Pattern Color". This color is for use with the upcoming "Pattern" type event, which will be represented on the main calendar with the selected color as an alpha reduced circle of color behind the date number on days that have pattern events. The Pattern event panel is not yet available but will appear in the Expert Event editor panel.
- Added:Persian Calendar and the 3 Zoroastrian Calendars:Fasli, Shenshai, and Qadimi.
- Added keyboard shortcuts for the History, Planner, Astronomical and Event views on the main calendar window. (Option-F1-F5)
- Julian Calendar: wrong Julian day number (and thus Julian calendar days) was being computed if a date for the dates October 6-16, 1582.
- Fixed calendar display when traversing from one calendar to another whose start date predates the calendar system. (ie, Julian year 500 - then switch to Bahai which did not exist.) Bahai now displays a blank calendar with "Invalid" for the year and "Outside range" for the month. Follow the link and free download Calendar X 10.2 Preview 2A46 now.
