BitWise is a cross-platform, interoperable and secure IM service with the same features and interface on Windows, Linux and OS X. Features include voice chat, file transfer, file sharing, "tabbed" chats, whiteboards, logging, URL history, full unicode support, offline messaging and more. Because your security and privacy are paramount, we don't give or sell any user information to anyone, and you are in control of who has your user name.

What's new in this version:

- Splitter on conversation windows allows you to resize the new message and conversation text areas.
- New page of basic / quick preferences is the first preference page shown when opening the preferences.
- Whiteboard object handling improved, especially images; faster redraws and lower resource usage.
- Whiteboards now allow you to place a paragraph or paragraphs of text rather than just a single line.
- Bandwidth usage slider on file transfer manager allows you to control the bandwidth used by file transfers.
- Font dialog now uses OS X font dialog rather than wxWidgets generic font dialog.
- Selecting font color in font or advanced logging preferences is now integrated with selecting the font.
