Any was originally designed as a very simple table-top strategy game that could be played be nearly anyone, in nearly any location (thus the name of the game). Players could use pennies, m+m's, dice, even pencil and paper.
And now I've developed the game at a very simple level (can't get much simpler than ASCII graphics) for Mac and PC. Simply download, unzip, and double-click the application. The Terminal will launch and start the game. The game is single player only, your opponent being the computer AI.
This is my first major venture into C programming, and as such, there may still be some bugs/issues. If you find any, please report them with a copy of the text from the Terminal showing the problem. The game has only been tested on Mac OSX 10.5 and 10.4, so there is no guarantee it will work on earlier versions (though it should).
If you like Stratego and/or Magic The Gathering, you may like this game as well. Try it out, and I look forward to your feedback.
While there are currently no plans on developing a version with a graphic UI or network play, it's not out of the question..
