Alarm Clock S.E. is the ultimate alarm clock for Mac OS X. With its complex alarm system, you will be able to create alarms that fit even the most complicated schedules. Wake up to songs with crazy effects, run shell and AppleScripts whenever you want, and never miss an appointment again.
S.E. now comes with a built in calendar and reminding system to compliment it s alarm system, helping you stay on schedule.
Whats New in this Version
- The entire system has been rewritten from the ground up
- Now written in Objective-C, making it faster and more responsive
- Better preference management and more preferences
- Kitchen and count-up timers are now as accurate as your computer clock
- New basic alarm editor for the most rudimentary alarms
- Cleaner interface makes advanced alarm editor easier to use
- New Calendar date editor makes viewing your schedule much easier, as well as adding the ability to have overlapping schedules and several events at the same time.
- New Event Manager makes it easier to deal with crazy holidays, and even adds support for Easter (with other odd holidays being possible upon request)
- Event messages now support wild cards, like %Y for years after first occurrence. See the accompanying Usage.rtf for more information.
- Clock window now sports ability to customize the shape of the window
- Set alarms now tell you when the nearest alarm date so you can be sure that your alarm is armed and ready to fire when you want it to
- Volume preferences now provides you a way to override the system volume when an alarm goes off, avoiding the problem where alarms would go off but you can't hear them because your system volume was too low or muted.
- The nearest alarm is now calculated, instead of calculating every second whether any of the alarms should go off. This will result in a substantial decrease in processor time needed while the application is idle. WARNING: this also means that alarms set to be less than 2 seconds apart can be missed.
- Events and holidays now provide reminder functionality.
- New iTunes xml music option in the advanced alarm editor allows you to play music randomly selected from your iTunes music library.
- Better alarm queueing now makes cycling possible; after one alarm finishes playing a song, the next alarm in the queue will start playing its song (if applicable).
- See the included Usage.rtf for more information.
