Abaltat Beat is a software application that functions as a beat calculator and a rhythm machine. Abaltat Beat is simple to use. In a couple of minutes you can create drum tracks to match an edited video clip.

Abaltat Beat calculates a best rhythmical fit for a video by analysing its Edit Decision List (EDL). This Best Fit is played by Abaltat Beat as a midi drum track and is expressed in Beats Per Minute (BPM) This process is automatic. All the editor has to do is enter an EDL, a quicktime movie and then select a drum track from the menu. The speed of the drum track can be adjusted, from the recommended Best Fit BPM. The Time Signatures can also be adjusted. All adjustments can be played back in sync to the picture, so you can see the relationship between picture and sound.
